Default My first car. Render Please.
The car is currently not finished. i would like a render so that i can make sure everything is lining up properly. getting a little tired of multi-tasking into the game and importing to see what the car looks like. anyone know where there is a car viewer for the cot's or something that makes that process a little easier. thanks.. i still need to add contigs and sponsors to this car. any suggestions welcome.

i will give credit due when the car is finished.

That looks nice for a first try. As for your question, you can get the Carviewer from Masgrafx, make a folder for the SSNet(or whatever mod your doing) and then put the Interior, tires and jpeg image of the template into the folder. Then when you want to check your progress, save over it as a XCOT.jpg(X being the car model) in that folder. Then, simply open up the carviewer and click on Load DirectX mesh and then open up the template mesh.Once you do,then the car should be presented to where you can move it and see how it is coming along.Hopefully, what I said isn't too confusing(if it is,I can show you the tutorial I left at the Masgrafx forums).

thanks for the info.. i am going to try find that program now. if i have any problems i will re post here.

i still have a lot of touch up work to do on the spoiler and some of the stripes. for the most part its turning out well in my opinion. thx for the comment.

PS.. FYI.. the numbers are actual jersey numbers from the #28 Panthers DB jersey.

...and i don't see a car viewer for the COT at masgrafx.

That's because there isn't a CarViewer just for the COT mod. You'll want to get the regular CarViewer and then go through the following process:

1.Make some folders that go by ChevyCOT,FordCOT,etc(while copying the tire and interior textures [from where you got the files when you downloaded the SSNet COT paint kit] in each of the folders).
(see picture 1)
2.When you save your flat, save a copy of it as xCOT.jpg in the folder you want it to go to(Like ChevyCOT.jpg in the ChevyCOT folder and so on).

3.Then open up carviewer and go to 'open direct x mesh.'
(see picture 2)
4.Go to the manufacturer folder that you want and open up the NNC_Cot file that's there.
(see picture 3)
If done correctly,it should look like this:
