First off it's on xbox live in the online races. Forgot to mention that. The people I wind up running with for some reason always have the super setup that makes them go so fast. No matter what i do to my own setups I'm still 3+ seconds off in practice, qualifying, and the races. Practice I can't ever get with a big enought group, Qualifying i'm by my self but so is everyone and still 3+ seconds off. In the races I'm usually one of the last place drivers and when I line up, the field just drives off. I start out in the draft but the keep pulling away. I don't get it at all. And it's not just Daytona and Talladega it's everywhere. ie: Atlanta, everyone runs 27 sec. at least, while I can only setup the car to do 31.021 or something like that.
If you have a good setup, do tell |

"only 4 n2k3 im affraide. you could try lowering the gear ratios to keep ? "
that's what i was gonna say. in practices change the gearing to keep up with everybody, and then work on the handling |

Well considering most people that play online are in Online leagues, Setups are gold, and noone wants to share. myself included. (partly cause my team owner would probably hunt me down and i would dissapear) aside from that, my setup will more then likely not work for you. cause everyone drives different. ill try n give you some pointers.
First, go into regular offline mode and run some races. Learn to be smooth and consistent. a killer setup will do nothing for you if you cant make sevral laps without touching someone or something. ie the wall. the general rule i have heard is if you can run a 10 lap race on hard with AI to full strength with no spins. its time to start looking at the car. Personally i start with the drive train. play with different gear ratios and run a few laps inbetween, to see how it works for you.. you want to get as much RPM out of the car without redlining before diving into the corner. next you would move to the left from there on your screens. i could write 8 days worth of reading material on the following items for what to do.. instead. look up a get setup guide. there are many. Hope this helps! |

IM YOUR MAN!!!!!!! I usually run 47.8
HERES what you do. . . on the first screen of the setup, put acceleration all the way to the left. grille tape at 100% (for qualifying, 85 to race) then gear ratios at about 194 or around there steering trim at 5 THIS SHOULD WORK IF YOU DO IT RIGHT DONT FORGET TO GET 100 ON SPEEDWAYS AND SUPERSPEEDWAYS!!!! THAT ADDS THE 1 SECOND |

no i tell ya what it sounds like to me, it sounds like he has all of his assists on if not, then you're just gonna have to play around with a setup b/c yes someone can give you a setup but that doesn't mean its gonna work for you.

Its not your setup....It's what you assists are set on... before going to online you need to change your assists. Every track is different so get used to changing them. At daytona or talledega you want everything off except for transmission. Stick or automatic is up to you. Most all other tracks you want steering help on high and a track like martinsville you want steering on high, traction on low , and stability on low. IM not on a team , Im the guy that beats them all so ill tell you i dont care, but its true not everyones setups will work for you but most are pretty close and with the right assists and a little tweaking I guarentee you can get real close with a little practice.
