Massive Fire Destroys Movie Sets @ Universal Studios

About 24 hours ago a massive fire broke out in the backlot of Hollywood's Universal Studios destroying several sets used for past and present films and TV shows.

Among the destroyed in the fire...

King Kong attraction
NY Street sets used in such movies/TV shows as Seinfeld & Bruce Almighty
Courthouse Square sets used in such movies as Back to the Future, Transformers and was currently being used for 'Ghost Whisperer' (note: Back to the Future's clocktower survived the fire)
A video vault housing tens of thousands of masters of old Universal films/TV shows

This is a real tragedy for cinematic history. While the sets will be rebuilt, there's no replacing the masters that were in that vault, nor will the King Kong attraction likely ever return.
