That's very sad news. My condolences go out to his crew, family, and friends. How awful!

This is very, very sad news. I also couldn't turn away when they showed the replay. Horrific crash, just awful. There was no way any human could survive that.
My thoughts and prayers are with the Kalitta family and friends in this tough time.... Rest in Peace Scott Kalitta, Godspeed.

I was at Newport Speedway tonight and they announced this just after qualifying. Even though he wasn't a stock car driver every race fan is sickened to hear of his passing. He was remembered at the invocation also.
Scott has a cousin Doug who runs top fuel also, not sure if he's racing at Englishtown though. Doug used to be a WoW sprint car star. R.I.P. Scott Kalitta

Ummm...no offense John Gregario, but your attached photo is of David Grubnic, who, along with Hillary Will & his cousin, Doug Kalitta, drives T/F for Kalitta Motorsports and not Scott Kalitta. Might want to correct that.
