I'm resurching my PC to see if its fast enough to run iracing, everything looks good but my video card is weak. i have a NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 . System Recommends a 256 MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800+ / ATI Radeon 2900 Pro +). I dont know that much about computers and i was wondering if these cards are over kill and what everyone else is using, and what will it cost me. like i said i dont know much about PCs but a point in the right direction will realy help me out , THAX.

I have recently used an ATI HD4830.Awesome video quality, not so great drivers.
I have an NVidia 9600GT on the internet computer that passed their test on the lower side.Have had no issues with it at all.Good card. Can be had for under $90 iirc. I've got an NVidia 9800GTX on the NR2003 computer now that I like. Also no problems so far.Big double slot card though.About $120. NewEgg has 9800GT's for under $100.Even the HD4850's are not much over $100 these days. I think I'm going to step-up to a GTX260 Core 216 next month myself. Research NewEgg a little.Just make sure your mobo and power supply can take the new card. rich |

You can get the recommend level. Nvidia GeForce products cost just about $100 little bit less and more.
Just look at this chart and see what it can work on your PC. Keep in mind, not all video card can work on PC - some require more power (voltage)... Graphics Cards Buy Now Also before you buy, be sure it's Vista compatibility. |

Ohh... it's onboard video card. It’s going to be very educational for you.
What I'm suggesting you to buy a recommend level graphic card - NVIDIA GeForce 8800+. It might will work on your PC without buying a new power supply. Or you can call HP and ask what they recommend what graphic card that your PC can handle. One more thing, if you buy a graphic card and install on your PC - you will need to disable onboard video card (through BIO setup) in order to make the new graphic card work. |
