hello everyone

My name is Rob Taylor.. i am from Upstate NY. I have a computer science degree and i am a 6 year veteran with the US Special Forces out of Kentucky. I'm an avid Harvick fan as well Vickers. This is only my second season of watching NASCAR. A friend from work got me caught up in NR2003 and a monster has been created ever since.

i am starting to really love the sport as i found myself buying diecasts and hats.. lol I still play N2003 with newer mods and updates and am always looking for newer cars to add to the game. I have over 600 cars as of now. Feel free to send messages or ask questions at any time. I am a pretty personable person. I am here to make new friends as i am on these posts almost every day

the cars and people on this site make it an enjoyable experience. i love the layout and once i get used to getting around your site, i will be sure to constantly be active on this site.. i would love to be able to help you all out behind the scenes as well. take care and hope to talk to u all soon.

Hey there Rob, welcome to SRD. Have you had much experience with a program called Z Modeler? If so please e-mail me at dano351@hotmail.com. If anyone has info about this program I would appreciate any help I can get. I'm looking for models for the program and background scene's.

no i haven't.. i am in the process of learning.. prolly this weekend i am going to look up rendering options and see what i can do.. i kinda wanna start making some fictional cars to share with everyone. i believe but don't quote me.. but i think the majority of the people rendering cars for n2k3 are using a program called 3dsmax or something similar.. you should see people talking about it in forums.. i do believe that's it.. if not.. i apologize.

there is a forum on this site for that 3dsmax program.. here is the link.. check it out.

Yes you are right. I have a program called Blender and it is a freeware program and looks very similar the 3DS Max. It will do 3ds files but not sure about some of the other files that 3DS Max uses. Do you use MSN or do you prefer Yahoo?

Here's some models:
2003 Car and Truck Models
DN COT Mod and Whelen
All Mods he has made (go to each of the mods page for models)

the DN COT Mod and Whelen link has a pretty good page for your rendering kits.. but mind you that the page is for the dan nisbot mod.. not sure if u are using ss.net or the DN mod.
