2008 Preview
#: 21 Driver: Bill Elliott, Marcos Ambrose, Jon Wood Sponsor: Little Debbies, U.S. Air Force Make: Ford Fusion Team: Wood Brothers/JTG Racing 2008 Scheme: TBA Predictions for 2008: In 2008 the Wood Brothers will barrage us, again, with a slew of drivers. Bill Elliott has signed on for Daytona, but will probably run the first 5 races, as the 21 team is out of the top 35 in owner's points. Ambrose is scheduled to run 14 events, most likely a prelude to a full-time gig in 2008. Jon Wood is slated to run in 9 events, however, these numbers can change. I think that the 21 will have a similar year, and will finish in the top 35 in points. The team is better than they've performed lately, with veteran drivers who have lost their edge. If Ambrose does, in fact, go full time in '09, WB/JTG's 21 car will finally have some stability, and could probably finish higher than 30th in points. Until then, it'll be more of the same. Please contibute your predictions and comments for this driver, but please remember to be respectful of other's opinions, and keep it clean. Tomorrow: #22 Dave Blaney

the 21 team will struggle to make races without Bill Elliot in the car and to stay in the Top 35. Such a shame.

Yates Racing better find sponsorship. They're on the same road where all unsponsored teams go to die.

Here's the speeds from the second session today. Bit of a surprise to see Newman up front. These look like drafting lap times, so these would show us more than anything what some of the teams can do.
