Mark knows he's facing an almost impossible mission there. When was the last time a driver won the championship in his first season with his new race team?

At last Mr. Martin has what he deserves, being with the best . He needs a crown, hope he shows what old school is all about in this top team.

I don't really know what to think about this. I'm a big Martin fan, but I think he's tarnished his legacy by doing this at the end of his career. If he wanted to keep racing, he should of just stayed with Roush.
But I wish him the best of luck in '09. Hopefully he gets back to victory lane and contends for the title.

even more interesting. Its a 2 year deal, although only 26 races in 2010. hmmm, i would've thought he would of been more likely to win it in his 2nd year with the team.

Martin, Gordon, Johnson, Earnhardt Jr.
Sounds like a "Who's Who" of NASCAR's past 15 years, and now they'll all be driving for the same team full-time in 2009. Gotta give it up to Hendrick for making the moves. It will certainly be interesting to see what happens next year with this group. EDIT: WOW! In an interview just now, Dale Jr. did not AT ALL seem happy about having Martin as a teammate next year. It looked like the baby of the family just learned he wouldn't be the baby anymore. He was struggling to find the proper words to say on TV, but his whole demeanor & tone said he's pretty disappointed about this move. That was sure interesting...
