I love the look of the challenger (gonna be hell on modelers who do the Nationwide mod). I don't think it'll be x'd though. I look at the car and say it'll give the car a little more front downforce than the full decal cars. Not enough of an advantage, but any advantage is better than none in this rules laden world we live in today.

Nice looking racecars..especially the Challenger...Mopar or No Car!!!
I hope they do go with the pony car thing, sort of bring Trans-Am back but on ovals. And with Chevy getting their new engine next year, and Dodge rolling out a new engine for both Cup and Nationwide either the end of this year or the start of next year, this should be good. I wonder if the Dodge guys figured out how to do the recessed grille thing now, since that's what hurt them with the Charger in 1968 and spawned the Charger 500 and Charger Daytona. |

A couple more pics:
![]() Side view of the Challenger. ![]() Front of the Chevy. Kind of looks like an Impala or Malibu? Don't be surprised to see these change though. Remember the first pics of the Cup COT when it started testing? |

i hope this discourages Cup drivers from running for the NNWS championship, I am tired of seeing Cup regulars win the races and the championship, don't get me wrong they are very good drivers but NASCAR should make them stick with 1 series, if they want to run NNWS then don't score them or limit them to 5 races. There is a lot of young talent out there and they are the ones who should be running in the series, maybe give the Rensis Davis Motorsports and other full time teams a chance to win some races.

1. the chevy is a malibu. just by the indents and stuff for lights. the malibu lights are the sharp edged ones.
2. i agree with the previous statement let the one car teams make money to keep the sport alive

I don't like the idea of limiting drivers. If anything, limit teams. Each Cup team may only have one car for their Cup Drivers. This would prevent Joe Gibbs, Hendrick, etc from running two cup drivers full time and thus force teams to keep developmental drivers in the series. If you limit drivers, smaller teams who ask cup drivers to step in and evaluate their cars won't have that luxury available. Each team would require their cup drivers to only drive for them.
There is no real solution for cup drivers in the nationwide series. The sponsors that pay for the cars want someone in who can win. You take away the cup drivers and you end up half the field sponsorless and heading to the garage after the first few laps happy to take whatever cash came their way.

man I love this design of cars so much better. I like the spoiler much better than the wing. I hope Chevy redesigns their car because in my opinion it doesn't quite look right. That Challenger looks amazing. That's just sweet. I kinda wish Toyota would be a bit more creative with their make though
