I race with a microsoft non ff wheel right now. My question is would I see improves enough to feel good about putting out 300 bucks on a wheel?

I ran with a Microsoft SideWinder (FF) for a couple of years. Decided to buy a G25 shortly after they came out. WHAT a difference. I was took by a couple of former SideWinder users that the wheel had a "loose" feel to it. Now, I know what they were talking about. I have SOOOOO much more control now. Setups that would have been too loose for me before are just right. And, IF it starts to break loose on me, I can correct it better. Doesn't mean I can't spin out; just takes a lot more. Although some of it can be attributed to gaining experience, I've been running better in my league - FBR Motorsports. I even ran some Late Model stuff during our off-season and, although didn't place well, did better than I probably would have with the SideWinder. I'd recommend it to anyone.

I have also recently bought a G25, after 5 years using an Act Labs Force RS, and I must say it is a great combo for that money. I am still getting used to it, so settings will change a bit for sure, but I would say it is worth every penny.

I have an ECCI and a TSW optical with the TSW speedshifter and I find the G 25 to be the best of all three. If you want to update to Vista it will only work in the default mode, you can make no adjustments to the settings. The FF will still work and Logitech should have a new driver out in June.

I just got back into racing after the new beta NNC mod came out. I dusted off my old MS sidewinder FF and fired her up...it's ok. For a whatever I paid for it 50-60 bucks I can't remember it does fine. I would love to have a clutch, and gear box, but it's hard to justify that much money. I drool over the G25 though, no joke.
