best deal on the G-25
Go to PCNation.com for $248.79 to your door fed ex 3 day. no joke!!!

Maybe if enough drivers get the new wheel there will be less wreckers such as in Dega pro....lol

Wheel Settings
I just use the wheel default settings except i do enable the centering spring. I make my adjustment in the NR2K3 game in the options menu and again the settings there are to one's taste and feel. i personally like mine set at 26% strengh assign the controls to where they need to be. I use the " H " pattern for shifting and use the paddles on the wheel for looking to the left and right of the cockpit and then just calibrate. in the advance control settings i set mine at 15% steering assistance 100% steering linearity and check the steering boost box. Hope this is helpful as setting wheels up can be confusing to some. ! quick note as to using the " H " pattern... The gears are close together and it can be easy to miss the gear intended thus blow your engine thru the hood...lol not that i have done at all..(ahem) so be aware where you are shifting to and you be ok.

i use the logitech g25 steering wheel ,i bought my wheel dec 2006 .i paid £160 for it ,included in the price was gtr 2 and rfactor.i have no complaints about the wheel ,everythink is to my liking and suits my driving style.i use to have the old black momo,it was getting a joke the amount of times i had to recalibrate that thing.my settings for the g25 are mainly the default.except for the centering spring is enabled but set at 0,in game settings are 1% steering assist and linearity is set at 55,i'd say tweak to your liking and how comfortably you feel with the wheel

Some Problems with the G-25
I just wanted to let folks know that there may be some issues with the G-25. 1st the achoring system IE: Plastic grip levers will break if wheel unit isnt sucured in the front. I actually used a cargo pull strap to hold it to my desk ( I dont want to drill holes thru my desk for bolts) I have since found if you take 2 bolts that fit the threds and grind off the end into a point aprox. 3/8 past the edge of the wheel it will prevent the wheel to slide. but the wheel will want to lift from the front adding stress to the grip levers especially if in a heated battle during a race like Martinsville. Thats why I use a ratchet/pull cargo strap and sucure it to my desk ( Kinda okie but effective and no holes thru my desk)
2nd and the latest was the loss of reverse becaused of repeated banging of gears. Ive learned the hard way that the shifter is kinda weak so be careful.

Now for the good news. Logitech considers this to be a high end product and will replace your setup free of charge as long as you have a proof of purchase receipt to mail or fax to them. If you have any problems at all with customer support (like I did at first) just PM me and I will hook you up with the General Manager of Support direct line to discuss your problem.

I have also discussed these issues with Logitech developers and hopfully it will be resolved soon.

Good luck and happy racing !!

Well, my new G25 will be here today, and I'll have all weekend to play with it. I've been reading the posts so far, and most all of them are positive. I hope that I don't have the issues that "njnascarfanz29" has had. I have a Microsoft FF wheel, and have been using this wheel since 1996. I looked at the G25 at Fry's ($299.99) and almost bought it, but decided to wait. Looked online with Dell (Large Company Discount) and got the G25, next day air, tax, title, tag, out the door for $309.00. I could have saved on shipping, but I like my stuff NOW!

After I play with the wheel for a while, I'll write back with my findings. I 'spect to do a lot of Nascar Racing this Saturday and Sunday. Can't go to the lake anyway, it's closed due to flooding.

Later,
Russ
Austin, Texas

Ok, got the wheel. Easy setup. A few more wires than before, but manageable with a few tie straps. No problems mounting and keeping in place as stated by "njnascarfanz29". He must just be heavy handed. Great control and reaction time. Great feel. Worth the money.
