Downloading cars can quickly fill up your series cars folder. Deleting cars can get confusing. And without a scroll bar, selecting a car can take longer than it needs to me.
Solution: Instead of putting all cars in one big folder, Make several car folders. Name them things like: 1999, 2005, 2009, [league name], [league name], etc. When you want to race with 2009 cars, rename the 2009 folder to "cars". If you are about to race in a league, remember to change "cars" back to 2009 and change the league folder to "cars". This should help keep your folders from getting confusing and cluttered with too many cars.

I only keep the current year cars in there, as I usually only race current year cars. But I do move previous years cars to a seperate folder also. 08 cot cars, etc.
On the current year cars I only keep 1 car for each driver and I will change schemes, #'s (Keselowski for an example) on opponent manager, and will have every car pic in tga format in export import file. (usually listed something like this 14burgerkingDaytona2.tga) Also in this format I would include where I got the car SRD, etc. makes it easy to find when I want to sim a race or have a certain scheme. This way I only have about 60-70 car files in my car folder.

Oh. Thats a good idea. That way you are guaranteed to have the exact track specific cars for each track. Especially if you are racing full seasons offline. The way the game handles alternate paint schemes is so random.
In the future there will be a Nascar game that connects to the game company's website which automatically adjusts driver performance (ratings) and paint schemes based off the most recent races. I hear there is already a utility now for NR2003 that updates ratings via the internet.
