Default Rioux COT Community Question
With the Rioux COT v2 mod coming out within the next week or so, how many of you are sticking to the v1 mod? I ask because I'm trying to decide if I want to remove the v1 scenes from my site. The v2 mod should be more accurate and will be the one to beat, but I need to decide if I should keep the v1 stuff as well. Your thoughts?

General Note: Please lets keep the discussion civil. This is not Rioux vs any other mod, it's v1 vs v2.

I would at least keep a basic v1 for awhile. That's just my opinion

EDIT: To answer your question, I will probably be going over to v2

I think i'm gonna shoot over to v2 since I just got into this whole "war" thing. From what I've heard after talking to a few of the guys over there and seen some pics, this is really a nice mod. V2 I mean anyway. I heard it's gonna use the same templates. Let's see what is true and speculation.

The idea behind calling it V2 instead of something like v1.01 is because the rear end of the bodies had to be redone. The templates won't change much, but the wire frames will thus causing wrap issues. I'll agree the bodies look good in V2 and since no one has really solidified themselves with V1 yet, they'll be willing to upgrade quickly.

I really can't answer that question yet. However i am linking all the things they are doing so far. It may just come down to how it works on machine but i wanna try it before i pass any judgment.

I have v1 of the Rioux COT mod installed in my game, but it's highly likely that I'll delete it once v2 comes out sometime this week. I just don't see the point in having two versions of the same mod installed in my game.

I say for you Rioux keep both v1 and v2 for people who dont really doesn't want v1 or vice versa. On the other hand i dont use the rioux mod but maybe ill use it if the fps are better on v2

I'd say keep the v1 up till about the third week of March in order for painters to have time to convert, assuming that v2 comes out before the last few days of February.

I'm of the opinion that the latest version of their product is what should be used. With that siad, I would certainly wait until all these changes from NASCAR are at least close to being on the track so the mod makers can go forward. It seems a terrible waste to have to change now and then again in the very the near future, I think we have all been in the instant gratification mode this time around, wanting the mods out, and then wanting all the changes now. Remember when the games came out and they were 2 or 3 years behind the current season as fars as cars and what not went....

Are those scenes up yet Chris?
C'mon you slacker! LOL

I'll give version 2 a try. But I'll also keep version 1 archived as I do with most downloads. I've got a spare comp with 2 1terabyte hard drives in it...Its strictly an archive comp...lol But, yeah, I'll try version 2..
