Has anyone seen a mod that unrestricts the cars on Super Speedway tracks? I think it would be really sweet to drive Daytona or Talladega like they did in the old days... without restrictor plates

Back up your track.ini, open it with Notepad and look for the line chassis_type, change it to look like this:
chassis_type = 5 and you'll get an unrestricted track! 0=?, 1=superspeedway (restricted), 2=speedway, 3=short track, 4=rc, 5=superduperspeedway (unrestricted) |

OK, so I got this brand new G25 wheel, and it worked fine for the first two days. Then, after installing a few updates for some other games, not Nascar, the wheel now causes the soundcard to distort. I have to reboot the computer to fix it. The sound is fine until I plug in the wheel, and then the sound goes crazy. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the wheel drivers, the sound card drivers, and the Direct X drivers, and it still does it. I've been reading elsewhere where others are having this same type of problem between the wheel and headphones. My problem may be the same because I use Bose speakers, which are USB speakers.
Has anyone else out there been having a problem with this expensive Logitech wheel? Thanks, Russ |

OMG, no one else is having this problem???? I've read a ton of posts that state that others are having problems with this wheel and USB sound devices, mostly headphones.
Well, for those of you who read this, I fixed the problem. I'm running a Dell XPS 710, BTX motherboard, 2.4 gig duo processor, 3 gigs of ram, 3 hard drives, 1000 watt power supply, twin video cards (7900 gt SLI), 27" widescreen flatpanel monitor. When I got home today, I again plugged in the wheel, and while it was booting up, the sound went into distortion mode. So, I unplugged the wheel. I uninstalled the software. I completly shut down the computer. I waited a few seconds, and turned it back on. After it had settled down, I reinstalled the software, plugged the wheel in when instructed to, and everything now works again! Now, I'm not sure if this will fix everyone's problem, but it's always worth a try. Good luck. PS. As an update, after everything was working again, I plugged the wheel back into the original USB port where I had the problem, and the PROBLEM returned. Weird. I rebooted and plugged back into the powered 2.0 USB hub, and all is well. I guess the port on the front side usb to the computer never "reset". |

I'm not really clear on what you mean here. ![]() In the "Results" tab you get the results of one single race. Use the button that says "Generate Files" and you'll get a dialog box that says "All HTML files have been generated", hit "OK" and then use the "Standings" tab to see the points standings.

Ok if you are downloading a tga image, you will need to copy it into the imports\exports folder in the game folder. then start the game, select the mod you are using, go into opponent manager. above the spinning car select new.
select the chassis you need. now at the bottom click import. in the menu select the file you put in the import\export folder and hit <enter>. make sure it has a driver name and number then click save. it should now be in the game. If you download a file with .car extension just copy it to the cars folder of the mod your using. eg. c:\nascar2003\series\the mod\cars. (the mod)= what mod you are playing. hope this helps, I'm a little rusty at this. NOTE if you d\l a image otther than tga u will need a paint program like photoshop or paintshop pro to save as a tga. Also, believe it or not, Microsoft Picture It! can also save as .tga. If you're a beginner who doesn't have Photoshop, check to see if Picture It! came standard with your XP or Vista-based system before shelling out the money for Photoshop.

was the game running when the system crashed?, i would suggest a simple
reinstall of the game (backup your import\export folder and any series\cars folders so ya can put them back after)to test if you here the motor test sound. If you are also running mods install in this order Install NR2003 Install patch: 1.2.0.1 Install the PWF cup damage Install the PWF gns mod Install the PWF GNS Volumetric Shadow Fix (http://www.masgrafx.com/masgrafxraci......oad&sid=582) Install the PWF truck mod Install the IROC mod Install the PWF IROC Model Fix Install the PWF TA mod Install any other mods in any order (owr mod, gtp mod, SS.net mods,Dans cot mod,lm mod, etc.)
