Rob,
RAR is an archive format much like the ZIP format that has been in use for many years. The actual ss.net COT mod car files from SRD end in .cup.car because they were created for the Cup physics version of the mod. As Jason stated, you will need to download and install an archiving program that can handle RAR archives, such as WinRAR. I use ALZip, and although it doesn't create RAR archives, it can extract files from them. James
