Favorite thing about NR2003...
My favorite thing about NR2003 is racing a short offline race at Daytona without any cautions. I like it when i'm at the back of the pack and then there's a huge wreck in front of me and all i can see is smoke & debris.

That's when i just floor the pedal and let my natural racing ability take over---ala Cole Trickle in Days of Thunder.

There must be some kind of glitch in the game though cause i have never once made it through unscathed.

NR2003 has been the first and only sim I have ever played. With that said, it is really tough to imagine that another sim could ever come close.

I love Nascar 2003 even though its 4 years old with all the painters and moders out there I see another 2 or three years left. This is by far the best Nascar sim ever made.

Without the community all these years, this game would of faded.

I like how "fast" the game loads!

rFactor and GTR2 are very kewl, but the loading time is a killer

Go get a drink - start game
Ice - load track
Bathroom - let's race

I'm an offline person myself. I have to agree with the first post, I like to turn the cautions off and adjust the drafting distance in the track.ini file. I like starting at the back of the field and seeing if i can make it through. I have made some very nice crash replays this way.

I've found out that the best crashes happen when you aren't even trying to crash... lol. I remember coming to the line at Daytona on the last lap trying to block Kyle Petty. Let's just say I wasn't quite clear. I won the race, but I ended up flying over THROUGH the fence into the grandstands..... if only the grandstands had collision detection or whatever you call it... it sucked goingt straight through them... lol.
