Default Pack/Unpack .dat files
I need to unpack the .dat file in my COT folder so that I can replace the wheel files. I tried putting new wheel mips in the COT folder, but that didn't change anything.
Anybody know how to unpack and re-pack a .dat file?
Thanks
God Bless

Try WINMIP 2. Under Extras there is a packer and unpacker.

does anyone know, if WinMip unpacks all files from a .dat file, or only graphic related files? so, if I unpack a .dat file, the files I get are all the files that this .dat file contains?

Kegetys' RBR page

Use that, it is an official dat. file tool.

Cheers!

unfortunately it didn't work for me. I think, this program is designed for Richard Burns Rally .dat files only.

but after taking a closer look, I think winmip unpacks al the files.

Winmip2 does, I have used it to pack/unpack the COT.dat file already with no problems.
