Default NSRO.NET Starts Season B

We are a Sim Racing community that promotes friendship and fun before competitiveness. We started this league to get away from the attitudes and immature behavior you will find on the open servers. We have rules that we expect our members to abide by to make it a pleasant and fun experience for all.

We are a Nascar Racing 2003 league and we run 6 different series . There is a series for everyone based on your Driver Level. Here is a brief description of each series.

Pro Cup Elite - This is our most advanced drivers. It is full hardcore. You must be a level 1 driver to run in this series. This series uses the cup mod and is open setups.

Pro Cup - These are our experienced drivers. You must be a level 2 driver to run in this series. This series uses the cup mod and is open setups.

Busch Series - This is for level 3 drivers and uses the busch mod. It features open setups and Forecasted weather.

Sportsman Series - This series is for the beginner. Level 4 drivers. It is a fixed setup and 70/clear weather series. This series runs the ARCA Mod. This is a great series for new drivers to learn some of the advance skills needed in the Busch and Cup series.

Friday Nite Thunder Series-This series is for All driver levels. It is a fixed setup, 70 Clear Weather. This series runs the Craftsman Truck mod.

Saturday Night Open Series - This series is for the Night owls. All driver levels are permitted. It is a fixed setup, Sprint style series. This series runs the Grand National 1970 mod.

NSRO uses a "Driver Rating System" to place it's members in there prospective Series. All new members are placed in Level 4. Here is how the system works.

Drivers will be scored each week in their assigned series. They will be scored on:

Attendance: 1 possible point.
If he starts the race he gets the point

Performance(Top 5 finish) 1 possible point
If he finishes in the top 5 he gets the point.

attitude: 1 possible point
No flames or autochat violations and he gets the point.

Incidents: 2 possible points
If he causes no incidents he gets 2 points. 1 incident caused, 1 point. 2 incidents and a retire and he gets nothing.

A driver can earn 5 total points per race. a total of 95 points possible per season.

These points become a members "Driver Rating"

Everyone starts out at 0. There will be no promotions during the season anymore with the exception of new members that join and should not be a level 4 after evaluation.

Here is the scale for promotion:

Level 3: During the season a level 4 driver must score and maintain a driver rating of 65 out of 95 to move to level 3

at seasons end if a level 4 driver has a driver rating of:

65+ - he is promoted to level 3
less than 65 - he stays a level 4

Level 2: During the season a level 3 driver must score and maintain a driver rating of 75 out of 95 to move to level 2

at seasons end if a level 3 driver has a driver rating of:

75+ - he is promoted to level 2
74 to 55 - he remains a level 3
less than 55 - he becomes a level 4

Level 1: During the season a level 2 driver must score and maintain a driver rating of 80 out of 95 to move to level 1

at seasons end if a level 2 driver has a driver rating of:

80+ - he is promoted to level 1
79 to 60 - he remains a level 2
less than 60 - he becomes a level 3

If a Level 1 driver has less than 80 at seasons end, he moves down to level 2.

No driver will ever be promoted more than 1 level after his initial placement.

Driver ratings will be posted weekly so you can see where you stand.

This system puts your destiny in your own hands. It will also replace the penalty system. Black flag penalties will still be issued but will not count as an infraction.

All our races are run on a 24/7 Racing Server (NSRO.NET). Now is the perfect time to join. If you want to race in a league where fun comes first and everyone gets along and are friends, then you’ve come to the right place. Feel free to contact me at sornado@nsro.net for any questions you may have.
