Greetings, my name is Jim Foose and I have been the President of the American Sim Racing Series (www.americansimracing.com) since its creation in 2002. I would like to take a minute to invite you to check out what we have to offer. While our primary focus is on short track racing, we host a Craftsman Truck Series as well as a “regional” division called the East Series that races on road courses and some bigger tracks. For the short track fan, we offer two divisions of Late Model racing and a Modified Series. We annually host 2 of the biggest sim races with the All American 400 now in its 11th year and the Snowball Derby in December, which will celebrate its 3rd running this year.
Our league has been built on a foundation of treating people right, and promoting honest, fair and exciting sim racing. Through the years, we have become known as a strict league, but also a fair league and an enjoyable league for all participants. While we do have a lengthy rulebook, and enforce the rules in that rulebook, we enforce the same rules on every competitor in our events. While other leagues have come and gone the ASRS has remained and expanded its offering of divisions as the years have gone by. Our goal is not only to provide honest, fair and exciting sim racing but also to please our members and retain the members we have gained over the years as well as our newest members. The ASRS provides some of the best racing available online and while a nominal $5 fee is charged to register a car number, ASRS members generally say that the enjoyment is far above what anyone could get for $5 these days. The registration fee also keeps the problems out for the most part, rarely will someone spend $5 just to get back at another driver and it has never happened at the ASRS since the fee went into effect in 2007. I thank you for your time, and really look forward to see you on the track, Jim Foose ASRS President & General Manager www.americansimracing.com Email: jim@americansimracing.com AIM: FOOSERACING42 |
