Hard to believe, but 10 years ago i bought NR2003 and played it for a few years. Last year is when i first heard of modding, and it has been a blast once again. I was given RFactor for a Christmas gift, i downloaded the highest rated stockcar sim, and still, NR2003 still is superior in my book. For ten years i have done the EA stuff, the GT5, the Nascar the game you name it, and still this 10 year old game is by far my fave. Special thanks to all who have added so much to a fantastic sim, rock on.

yep NR2003 has everything I could ever want in a sim racing game and the fact it's lasted this long is amazing. The ability to not only update the real life Nascar series models and paints but make completely fictional ones or fictional tracks is what makes this game so great.

Like you I've played almost all the other Nascar racing games but this one is for me. I never got into iracing. That may be the next version of NR2003 so to speak but its all online based and doesn't have any customization close as NR2003 has. iracing is more for pros and those that just want the most realistic racing a sim can offer. But I see NR2003 as the game for those that enjoy racing but like more customization choices, like offline racing leagues, and just fun racing.

So true, I have been an iracing member for 2 yrs and just do not have enough spare time to be anywhere near competitive. As of late the only thing i do is fixed setups maybe twice a week, just enough to keep paying for it.

Same here, participation credits + the black friday deal is a no brainer but there is just something missing from the racing side, so clinical and perfect, BUT the forum alone is worth the $4 a year, so much drama. People think this place get's rowdy sometimes, there no comparison to the drama queens there.

Happy Birthday NR2003.

Oh and Happy Birthday Sim Racing Design too XD

I agree with everyone else. I keep trying to get into iracing, but N2003 is just.....more fun. plus, no one questions your self-worth if you make a simple mistake in n2003. You dare spin and collect someone in iracing, you might has well mute your volume for a few minutes. lol.
