So after doing everything myself on my first two projects, i decided to kick back, relax, and use the wonderful resources in front of me to do as little work myself as possible:D. Probably the most work i did on this project was researching what associate sponsors are typically found with Conway. Thanks to everyone's hard work, all i had to do was color it. As with all of my paints i would love if someone could turn the tga into a .cup.car, as the tgas don't work on my computer.

Template: Bullring
Base: Bobby Hamilton 55 from SRD
Logos: SRD, Google
#s: SRD

Car file will be uploaded shortly. By the way, why do tga. files cause problems for your computer? Just curious.

Thanks once again Decar. The reason i put it in .tga is because that's what people always seem to upload it in. What would you suggest?

.tga's are fine for upload in my opinion since they can be dropped right the game's import/export folder and then imported onto a car once you're in the game. When I put a car up for download, it's generally in .tga format. Somethimes, though, people request that the file be loaded as a car file. I really don't mind doing that, but they always say that they can't handle .tga's, and I guess I'm trying to figure out why.

I think it's because its a format that Windows can't read; you need a third-party program like Photoshop. However, since the game reads .tga's, you really don't need to open them outside the game in order for them to work. Instead, you can put them into the import/exports folder in the game directory and then import from the Opponent Manager screen.

That's my theory anyway, maybe there's something I'm missing. Regardless, it's not a big deal, its just something I've been pondering. Anyway, if you ever need any help with something, I'd be assist. Nice work on the new car!

Sorry i misunderstood your question. I thought you were asking why i always upload to my posts in .tga. The reason I always ask for someone to turn my .tga into a .cup.car is that whenever i click the import button in the game either:
a: The game freezes up and i have to restart it or
b: A blank box comes up that just says OK and Cancel. It doesn't change no matter how long i wait and i can't type in it.

Well, that's certaintly a good explantion. It's seem strange that it does that, but oh well. As I said, if you need any other .car files made for you, I can take care of that for if you want. Happy driving!

Thanks man! I loved that base when I saw it on Scott Huhn Designs and when I thought of combining it with the DG logos, that was the result. I was quite happy at the way it turned out.
