1999 carset

hey guys, Ive been working with a couple of guys over at simthunder on the 1999 carset for the 90's mod and thought I would show off a few of my favorite remakes ive done so far.

Mike Wallace after the big daddy's fiasco ran this at daytona

Tom Hubert ran this in Sonoma

Ed Berrier and Stanton Barrett took turns in this car

Morgan Shepherd tried to qualify this car into the daytona 500 but missed

Darrell Waltrips main scheme

Stanton Barrett attempted the daytona 500 in this ride which he co-owned but missed the field by one spot.

alright here is Ron Fellows car as best as I can make it. I am missing 2 logos. one is the logo he had inside the chevy bowtie on the hood and the other was one of the b-pillar logos that was so faded it simply couldnt me made out. I am also not happy with the passenger side numbers.

I don't think the ford taurus template belongs on those cars. I think the original template should have been used for a 1999 carset. The 90's mod should only be used for the early 90's cars if you ask me.

the taurus looks better in game than it does rendered. I grant you the taurus doesnt fit as well as the other bodies.

As for the the use of the mod, the ford body actually fits the chevy template very well. As does the 95, and 96/97 thunderbirds. The pontiac is actually pretty close with the exception being that the lower front airdam curves in way too far. They only ran that nose piece through 92 and part of 93. then they changed it to a flatter airdam for late 93 and 94 and an even boxier front clip for 95.

But the point of it is simple. Keep the mod alive and make it useful to its entire decade and not just through 94

Looking good psu! After this set is done, we still have the 2009 set on these bodies to do. But then what? Busch, ARCA?
