2 NR2003 Issues That Have Bothered Me

Thanks for any help I get here with this guys.

First off this has really bugged me and hasn't happened since I reformatted my HD back in the summer but it finally pushed me over the edge today. NR2003 will only load right when my computer boots up, but if it's 3-4 hours later and I want to take a spin after the previous usage it refuses to start up at all. I'll double click the icon and nothing will happen even after doing it a billion times, any insight is helpful.

Second is that sometimes when I'm in the menus whether it be the Opponent Manager menu or options menu the game will stutter and freeze up for about 15 seconds to a minute long and that also only start happening after the reformatting of my HD.

One last thing, I got a stick of RAM from my old computer we tossed out today and I was wondering if I put into my machine if I'd see an improvement in frames. If you'd like I can post my PC specs and see if my rig is good enough and I'm just not getting the power I can get out of it for NR2003 graphics and FPS wise.

You've probably already done this but I like to always mention it since it can usually be the easiest way to fix errors like this. If not tried already, try running a defrag on the drive and a registry cleaner program. That can usually help speed up things and lessen errors with programs.

Another thing to try (if you've not tried already) is maybe re-install NR2003 to the reformatted HD again. If all else fails do a CHKDSK on the drive (if you are using a windows OS) to see if any sectors are bad and possibly fix any errors.

I do know some anti-virus programs play havoc on the player or opponent manager parts of the interface. Try disabling it and see what happens. Back when I ran xp and had Norton it would lock my game up completely until I figured out it was the anti virus. I thought I was gunna go nuts.

You must be sure that the RAM stick that you put in is the same type/sz as the one you have. If they are nit compatible it will not work. The price of RAM is down considerabiley so you might as well just buy a compatible matching set of sticks.
