This is the car that Michael Waltrip attempted to qualify at Infineon. The scheme came from the Toyota 'Sponsafy Your Ride' contest. I figured this car would be fairly easy to do when I first started, but quickly realized it was going to take a lot more time and effort than I thought due to drawing out all the many little designs, pictures, and details.
So here it is - #55 'Praying for Karson' Toyota.

I don't think it did, no. Great car, though. That base looks really, really tough man! Great job!

Were you thinking about putting the base up on here for download because I really want this base really badly, I was working on one but I had to reinstall window because of viruses, this car looks awesome.

Awesome job man. Did this car make the race? I forget

Negative. Unfortunally he got the car sliding a little too much before turn 11 and it really hurt his lap time.

I was probably going to put the car up on my site as I want to start making alot of my cars available for download. As far as just the base, I really hadnt thought about it to be honest. I'm not necessarily opposed to it although I'm not crazy about putting up bases from real cars. I like to encourage people to try and grow their painting skills and practice painting everything on the car themselves, as thats how you become a good painter. Anyone can grab a base, number, and logos from different sites and just throw them on a template and try to take credit for a good looking car. Thats not a knock on anyone at all either, I'd just like to see people try to broaden their abilities instead of taking credit for a good looking car that they didnt even paint anything on.
Sorry if that sounded like I was on the high horse, as that wasnt the intent. If you really want the base though, I could probably get it together and send it to you.

Thanks again everyone for the compliments, I really appreciate it.

Great reproduction. You have a very good eye for detail! Still think it's a rip-off that they made a big deal out of the contest and then stuck it on "no qualify" Mikey instead of on Busch, Hamlin, Truex, or any of the other cars they used in the advertisement. Toyota really ought to be ashamed of themselves for misleading fans that way. "Make a paint scheme you like and we'll put it on a car. Oh, but we'll make sure it is on a car with a slim chance of actually racing". What a rip.

Go easy on Mikey man. He aint a road course racer and hes only raced twice all season. Not to mention he was in a Prism car when the other 2 races he was actually in one of his own cars. Big difference. He wouldve made it too if it wasnt for sliding just a bit out of turn 10. What they shouldve done was put that scheme on his car for a plate race.
