I still think that the whole ''correlation = causation'' thing with the wing and the spoiler started because people were looking for an excuse to get rid of it. And somehow, NASCAR bought into it even though they said the hypothesis was very hard to replicate. I guess every NASCAR journalist suddenly got a degree in Pseudo-Physics the second Newman's car went up in the air. It was just a bandwagon effect, but there's no helping it now, no matter how much the theory reeks of completely stupid BS.

People also extremely conveniently forgot that Elliott Sadler's car was brought down easily when it went airborne in the Bud Shootout in 2009.

I don't see why a lot of people are pointing fingers at Jimmies spotter, this is the same way they communicate every week.

Well to defend myself, Talladega is huge and (this is what I heard) drivers only have one spotter because they don't want to cross over with their communications. And guess where that one and only spotter is? The front stretch. Where did the wreck happen? Opposite side of the track. So it could've been the spotter giving false info.

I think the wing effected the roof flaps tho. I didnt notice them sunday but I noticed last year they didnt pop up like they should.
