Jeff Gordon, he's so overdue. He's had great cars at Ristrictor plate tracks in 2009 and he gets either wrecked or the race ends early when he's charging up to the front lol.

Kyle Busch, Kurt Busch, or Denny Hamlin are the three boys that I think will have the best shot at the 500 this year.

I can't judge right now, but I know of all people, Tony Stewart and Mark Martin will do anything to win the most prestigious race of the year.

That's a really tough one. Jeff Gordon IS long over due for a 500 win. Same with Smoke. I wouldn't be suprized to see A.J. Allmendinger or Reed Sorenson in victory lane. Jimmie Johnson has a great chance. So does Mark Martin and Elliott Sadler. Even David R. And the Busch brothers...holy crap...they deserve a 500 win with the past races they had there. Also Denny Hamlin. He's a great plate racer.

I just can't pick one driver who I think will win. Just too tough. They all have a good chance. And the Daytona 500 is pretty much a wild card race.

I wouldn't say JG is due a 500 win, I mean he did win it in 2005 and has won it 3 times.

Here's a thought. Will our current streak of "nothing" winners continue? By nothing I mean they won the 500, but didn't do a whole lot the rest of the season. Harvick (2007), Newman(2008), Kenseth(2009)....

I want Kyle Busch to win it, so I'll stick with Rowdy. :)

Hope Kyle can win it this year. Of course if he did I would need to be revived...

Well, despite him being my all-time favorite, Gordon won the 500 recently. This will be Martin's 26th attempt. Stewart's 12th.

Yea if Mark Martin wins it, I'll be jumping up and down and screaming. If Smoke wins it, I'll crack open a brewski and just say "that'll do smoke, that'll do" :)

If I had to pick one driver though, I'd say Denny Hamlin. He's got alot of confidence with this new rule change with the bumpdrafing zones. I think Gibbs has the best HANDLING Daytona cars, and Mr. Hamlin's gonna pull off the win.

I would love to see Mark Martin win it. He was so close in 07. I think winning the 500 would mean more to him then if he won the championship.

I think Kurt will be strong. He always is at plate tracks...

Other than that, the Hendrick and SHR boys will be tough. And, personally, I think that is RCR gets its stuff together over the winter, Bowyer could be a real threat in the 500. He's always a lot like Busch in that respect, quietly up front at plate tracks, but hasn't managed to win yet.

Also...my dark horse is McMurray. He is the most underrated plate racer in Cup...

For 2010...Gordon's due...and I'm not just saying that because I'm being a homer for my driver. Look at history...'95, ('97), '98, '01, '04, '07...his Championship and best years of his career, in 3 year gaps. 2010...it's been 3 years since his last amazingly dominant season, so he's due...NASCAR is cyclical, and it's Jeff's time to shine again. I'm hoping for 5-6 wins and a title...anything less and I'll be disappointed. :)
