2010 daytona

I'm feeling that Mark Martin had a great season last year with plate races, just some unfortunate luck sometimes. I think they've tweaked the car during the off-season and I wouldn't be surprised to see a stronger (and meaner) Martin this year and I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the winners circle for the Daytona 500.

I wouldn't count on it if I were you. If you ask me, he'll probably be the greatest driver ever with no Daytona 500s and no Cup championships. And it's because he never drives like one. Ever.

I have to disagree. He drives like a champ. It's just that other people drive better But I clearly see your point. I guess I feel that he has the potential. And I believe that we could see that Potential meet his Experience. I can't be clearer. But at the same time, I believe that my beliefs are 50% fact and 50% wishful thinking.

I've got a feeling that Kyle Busch, Kurt Busch, Jeff Gordon or Tony Stewart is going to take it. Kyle has been dominant at Daytona recently, Kurt has had some great runs in the 500, Jeff is long overdue and we all know that Smoke can race at Daytona (See: 2009 Coke Zero 400).

Why is Jeff overdue? The last few times Jeff has ran like crap in the 500. Plus, he won in'05....that wasn't too long ago, dog.

Yes but 3/4 times since Jeff's 2005 Daytona 500 win it hasn't been his fault.

07: The 1/4 that adds to the first statement, he did do crappy.

08: Chassis failure.

09: Rains.

So only 1 year has it been mainly his fault.

To answer the question for the topic, I believe the winner will come from the JGR camp. They have been running incredibly well at Daytona over the last 2 years and Denny got hot at the end of '09 which I believe will carry over to 2010.
