I know there are some sportscar fans here!!

I'm looking forward to it quite a lot - just under 60 cars - all pretty competitive.
I'll be listening to it on Radio Le Mans during the days following the race.
As I'll be at the Clipsal 500 - then off to the Melbourne GP! Awesome month!

Heres the entry list for those who haven't seen it. Planetlemans.com | ALMS – 2011 Sebring Entry List

no R18 or AMR-One debut which is a shame, so the upgraded 908's should probably run away with it - but GT Glorious as always and some cool debuts right across the field - OAK lmp1 - Highcroft into lmp1 - Muscle Milks 08/62 Lola AM - the Oreca Nissan - the F458's - Larbre into a Chev - and some good Cup cars in the GTC class

But what's this I'm hearing that Speed aren't doing ALMS this yr!? wtf?
If not, who is broadcasting a) this race, b) the alms?

Apparently ESPN2 and ABC has coverage of the ALMS on TV, in a tape delayed and condensed form. ESPN3.com (their online broadband streaming service) is the only thing covering the ALMS live, and in-full this year.

...

I sure hope Speed Channel still has the 24 Hours of Le Mans, though. (I haven't seen anything about who's covering that race, this year, for the US)

Yeah hadn't thought about LM...

In Oz we only started getting it in '09 and we had a low grade (but epic) euro commentary - with only about 2 ads every hour

In '10 we had speed and man was it ad city!

So in a wayyy.... I hope Speed loses it so we can go back to them! - unles that means we lose it as a result.

The official ALMS site will stream the race for free as well.

I really want to watch. But my internet provider doesn't carry ESPN3.com and I can't get the stream from the ALMS website. Does anybody know where I can find a live stream?

There is one on Jtv.

Race is good so far. GT2 is a big fight, and as i type that, the Vette and the 430 are rubbing for the lead.

Could you post the link please? I've searched on there for the past 15 minutes to no avail.

WOAH. i thought this was tomorrow. my tv guide showed this race at 12:30 tomorrow. i saw no mention of it on tv today.

Ok, apparently tomorrow is just the highlights. So this whole race was broadcasted only on espn3.com? it appears the rest of the races will be like this. thats a joke and a complete step backwards.

Hugues de Chaunac and Oreca were long overdue for a win. Congratulations to them.

ALMS wanted to try something new, from what I've heard. If you have ESPN3.com, you're covered. You can also try watching it on the ALMS site (unless you live in the States, apparently).

And then there's always Radio Le Mans.

I actually enjoyed today's coverage way more than Speed ...I usually found a stream anyway because its more convenient to watch on my computer. John Hindhaugh is easily one of the most knowledgeable commentators in racing, maybe in all of sports and really does a good job managing a long race. Plus full race coverage with only a few commercials is awesome.
