He did blow reverse out of the tranny. Like his driving style he was too aggressive with reverse and it dropped out

Is there a source you can cite on that or are you basing it off what Busch said? Just curious.

It does make sense though. If Kyle still had reverse he probably would've been long gone before Harvick finished getting out of the car.

Just what Busch said. You probably think I'm nuts for believing him, but it makes perfect sense to me.

It makes sense to me too...You can see where he loses reverse, he starts to back up and then the wheels abruptly lose power when the gear goes away, so he coasts for a few feet, finds first gear and then takes off forward and turns around....Now whether or not losing reverse is a viable excuse for pushing harvick's car out of the way is another issue....

I really do think that Harvick would not have punched him if Kyle wasn't trying to drive away. If Kyle just stayed put Harvick would have just yelled at him...by driving away, Kyle gave him only one option.

Whether he had reverse or not is definitely not a valid reason for pushing Harvicks car, but unless a neutral party can confirm he did in fact lose the gear, its all pure speculation.

The only reason I asked about a source is because the statement I quoted was made as if it were fact. Busch said it during his interview right after the race, but I hadnt heard it confirmed anywhere else.

Of course Busch is going to say he lost reverse, whether he really did or not, that much is almost predictable.

Yep my bad. It was not confirmed anywhere else other that Kyle Busch (that I know of)

All good man, I was just curious if there was something else out there that I missed.

Either way I dont think we'll ever know for sure anyways. I dont think theres a neutral party that would be able to confirm or deny it.
