Brad K and Logano kinda fit that also.

As of 2011, yes. In 2009-2010, they were pretty consistent and made some waves.

Well, Kes pissed off Carl and screwed a lot of his chances. Oh yeah, he pissed off KYB too. Basically, he made too many enemies and now he's being too cautious because he's afraid they're gonna wreck him.

It's in black and white. Look at today in the N'Wide. Those guys (minus Almirola. LOL.) don't have a bone to pick with him. The front running Cup guys (Busch and Edwards) do.

*My opinion.

Then whats the problem? If they can't run with the big leagues then what's to complain about? Take out the Cup guys and have [insert Nwide reg here] win and move him into Cup to fail?

How about keep it the way it is now, and when a Nationwide regular legitimately and constantly gets top 5's and a win every week. Then keep an eye on that guy because he's going to be good.

How can they get top 5's when Cuppies are up there taking all the spots.

That's the point he's trying to make.

If they manage to do that, they're worth moving up.

I agree with David 100% there.

Yes. That's the way I feel...like I said would you rather have Tiger Woods [David Ragan] or Micheal Jordan [Kyle Busch] teach you basketball [racing]?

Let the Cup guys race in the Nwide series...just in the start and park rides....lol.

Then there are the guys that don't shine in Nationwide and end up having Cup success. How many Nationwide races did Jimmie Johnson win? And then there's Carl Edwards, who actually got his first Cup and Busch win in the same weekend. Jamie McMurray didn't exactly light the Busch Series on fire either...

Smart owners can recognize talent. Others just hire the flash-in-the-pan guy that won beyond all miracles.

That gives me an idea....

What if the Cup guys were banned from racing their Cup teams in the N'Wide Series.

Then they'd either have to find a new team or make their own.

No doubt Kyle Busch would have no problem. LOL. But I wonder how Edwards, Keselowski, Harvick, and Logano would handle a low budget car.

Harvick has his own equipment. As you said, Kyle easy pickings for him.

So there must be no talent in Nationwide regulars or all the owners in Nascar are dumb.

Everyone wants a good young Nationwide driver to go into Cup...well none appear to be ready even for trucks. Now as far as recognizing talent, hell if I know...

Brad also has a truck team and Carl could just get help from Roush.

OK. My idea needs work. It will never happen, so we don't need to keep stating the obvious.

Tank you all.

That isn't how it should work. You don't make AAA only to never get a shot because MLB guys play all the position. Nationwide is a learning oppurtunity, you don't learn while looking over your shoulder under the threat of a cup driver taking your ride if you don't go out and win x amount of races. Its like trying to learn to swim in a school of sharks. All it does is set them up for failure. For 20 plus years bgn churned out good talent without 10 cup guys in every race and it worked fine.

Honestly, despite the ideas I've posted before, I think the only way to do it is to make it logistically impossible. Have Cup qualifying at a close time to the Nationwide race and both in different locations. Let's say, have Nationwide in Darlington with the trucks while the Cup cars are in California or something. It would require tons of schedule reorganizing, but that's realistically the only way.

I'm with Mopp here.

You didn't see Mark McGuire, Barry Bonds, or Cal Ripken playing AAA ball during the height of their MLB careers. You saw the guys who did the best in their respective feeder series get chosen to move to the big leagues. Do you see Sebastian Vettel or Fernando Alonso messing around in the GP2 series right now? Of course not. They've reached the pinnacle of their sport and are already competing with the best of the best...they have no need to mess around in lower series.

The competition aspect of things is getting skewed way out of proportion. While on any given Cup weekend ten to twenty different drivers could be in the front running, you usually only have to watch 3 or 4 on the Nationwide side...and they're always the same 3 or 4 drivers.

I've completely cut Nationwide from my TV schedule, along with any Truck race Rowdy is in...they're just not worth watching anymore.

I haven't stopped watching the Nationwide or truck races yet. But I sure do feel like a sucker for watching any race Kyle Busch wins. I'm not a Kyle Busch hater, but it just leaves a sour aftertaste after every single race he wins in the lower divisions. Even on the rare chance he lucks into a win without dominating the race, it still stinks.

The sting seems to hurt even more after Richmond. The announcers proclaimed, "No Kyle tonight, the NNS regulars will take command tonight!" Not if his craptastic side-kick Denard "Rodentia" Hamlin has something to say about it!

Yeah, he was pretty bad! haha

Did anyone else notice that Brian Vickers has his name as "The Sheriff" on his car? I had to back up and watch it to see if I saw that right! haha!
