Discuss this weekend's wild races here. :)

This is a great week for Jr. to win. I can feel it.

I would agree with you two, but I'm not setting myself up for disappointment again.

Seeing as how the rest of the season has gone, I'm taking the same approach to the 24 team. Hope he does good, but my standards aren't high this week at all.

This sounds weird, but Jr. has a better shot at winning the championship rather then a race. Has there ever been a winless champion in cup?

You know what? I'm a Newman fan, and I want him to win but if he loses to JR, I won't be mad...Well unless he gets wrecked for the win l0l

I think there has before. I might have to check up on that...

EDIT: Never mind. The closest to a winless champion in Sprint cup was Matt Kenseth in 2003, who had won only a single race, en route to the Winston Cup championship.

    oops. lol

Let me rephrase that. The LAST driver that was closest to being a winless Champion... was Kenseth in 2003.

However, I fully believe with the way the Chase seeds drivers based on number of wins, a winless champion is highly unlikely.

Yeah, and for that to happen, that driver needs a LOT of help. Nearly had one with the horseface last season, but a certain fat guy prevented that (thank God).

As long as Carl doesn't go airborne into the fence coming to the checkered flag i will be happy.

I say Blaney or Gilliland could definitely pull an upset but its unlikely.

Michael Waltrip or Montoya will win, Montoya will only win if there are no jet dryers on the circuit.

Just be glad it's not freezing cold or raining. :p

And I have a feeling that Landon Cassill, Regan Smith and Dale Jr. are going to be big factors this weekend. I have no reason for it though.

Regan is always strong at restrictor plate tracks and BK Racing was decent at Daytona and they've made some good strides, I won't talk about Ryan Newman at 'Dega tho.

So needless to say I'd like to think I'd be able to celebrate a Regan or Landon win Sunday night. It would be cool to see Blaney get redemption for last year too.
