Where I live, the storm is rolling in. Violent storm, don't like the look of it. Good win for Jeff Gordon. I feel bad for all the drivers involved in the turn 1 incident. The glen should be a great race, the road courses are getting to me(in a good way.)

The lightning however was a huge blow on the race. NASCAR should of thought before going that far, I hope it doesn't happen again. But like I said, good race.

Because we all like sitting in a severe thunderstorm. In this case it's a GREAT call because the last thing we need is a fan being killed by lightning (n)

i don't know what to say about this post due to what happened today. :( RIP

Man, Gordon is lucky the 88 had a bad tranny... ;)

I'm actually pretty happy Gordon ended up winning with the way things transpired. At this point, my biggest concern is the Chase reset. Worst case scenario wouldve been Johnson getting his forth win or Kenseth/Biffle getting their second. So Gordon sneaking in and stealing the win served my rooting interest pretty well. It also put Gordon into the Chase as of right now.

The 88 was fast today, but I think that Jimmie was the best car out there. He got ahead of Jr. and never looked back, pretty much had it wrapped up until he lost it on the last restart.

And I'm kinda glad Kenseth got knocked out since Jr. had his tranny problems. Kept the points closer than what it would have been.

How about Truex Jr...it's only a matter of time before he gets his next win. He's up to fifth in points and definitely a championship contender if he keeps it up.

Gordon's lucky Johnson had a RR starting to deflate, that's why he slid up into Kenseth from what I heard on Jimmie's radio.

On the deal with him, like a few others said, he's gotta put together some consistency now, because Newman still has a few races left til the Chase to leapfrog Gordon for that last WC spot. But man, Hendrick has been dominant this year, having about 7-8 wins total so far.

Sorry. It wasn't meant to be that way. I actually posted that a bit before the news was broke with the lightning deal... Definitely wasn't meant to be offensive or anything like that...

Nah. Didn't take it that way. Just eerie...that's all. Strange coincidence.
