Glad JRM got rid of the Eury's! :-/

Yeah, that did seem like a pretty bizarre move, and to get rid of both of them. It had to be something personal, at least to some extent, and not just for "performance issues".

Yea, from what I understand, Kelley (and Dale to an extent) asked Pops to step down as Director of Competition. And since there isnt really anywhere else to put him, it was more-or-less a done deal. They still wanted Tony Jr. there, but with his father getting canned and then the hiring of Pemberton, the damage was done and Tony Jr. felt it was best to just leave.

Theres always that potential for things to get messy when you mix business and family.

As I said in the other thread, I think they're missing the boat completely. They think its an issue with the personnel who build/setup the cars (Eury's), when it my opinion, its really just a matter of having drivers who arent capable of competing for wins. They had Keselowski, who's a stud, winning races in their cars for three years. Ever since he left, they havnt had a driver of that caliber, which is why they arent winning races.

Did anyone hear that the #11 team forgot to change tire pressure for qualifying which resulted in the poor Q run? I find that hard to believe coming from a top team.

And I can't say how impressed I am with that 55 car this year. Between three drivers I thought it was going to be a disaster honestly. Vickers and Martin are doing great in that car, and as much as I'd like to see the 24 win tomorrow it would be just as cool to see Vickers win it IMO

I dont think its the caliber of driver that is hurting performance. BK was in the old style cars, they might be behind on their RD with the new car. Maybe the Eurys weren't getting enough outside their known abilities to make more gains with the new cars. I side with JR in feeling their not using the potential of the HMS alliance to improve their cars. Jr wants better equipment not a Cup driver, you got to give Jr credit for trying to find and mold talent, that is how BK made his name.

Crew members from RCR, Stewart-Haas, and BK Motorsports are still in Charlotte for whatever reason. They had to board another plane, and they're not sure if they'll make it to the race in time or not.

This is from some witness accounts on Twitter.

Well, that's very odd to say the least.

Just like it was hard to believe that they didn't get all of the fuel in the car last week. The #11 team has fallen apart since losing out in Richmond (IMO).

So far, I'm liking the racing today. Hope Vickers can pull out a sort-of upset win today but Jeff or Brad would be awesome as well.

Am I the only one that thinks these competition cautions take away from the first part of the race? Everyone takes it easy since they know a caution is coming out.

Hamlin is absolutely flying...cutting through the field at a torrid pace. At this rate, he should be passing Busch for the lead within 20 laps or so.

Who would have guessed that?

A caution during the commercial on ESPN...

*rage quit*

Again, another debris caution...

NASCAR should bring back the 2000-style restrictor plate racing...

Okay even I can't take myself seriously. XD
