Remember A-B is not the same A-B that signed the initial contract. A-B has since been bought by InBev, and while InBev inheirited & must honor current contracts, there's always the option of mutual dissolution of a contract.

If I read the language in the PR accurately, that's at least what Nascar now seeks. Nascar wouldn't seek this unless they had at least a strong sense that InBev also desires this or at least would react positively to the proposition.

If so, we've just seen the last Budweiser Shootout at Daytona. Perhaps there'll be a new title sponsor, perhaps not, but either way, Nascar has taken a positive step in restoring this race's decades-earned identity.

As sad as I am to see the Anheuser Busch sponsorship possibly be over, I think it's gonna be cool actually have a reason to take pride in the pole position again.
