He can...? I'm so sick of the unnecessary hate he gets for how he used to drive.

Is he great? No, but he can still drive. He's got speed but he's still learning. And remember, no one knows this package. Only a few didn't spin. 6 times is ridiculous but let it go.

At one point Ricky Stenhouse Jr. tore up Roush's Nationwide cars on an almost weekly basis and after being pulled for a while, look at him now! 2 Nationwide championships and a full-time Cup ride now and not tearing equipment up nearly as much

EDIT: Not saying Townley's gonna achieve that level of success, just saying that in time he will get much better.

Can't really say "it sucks" when all they've done is run practice. Hell, we all said "the Gen 6 cars suck at Daytona" and since the 500, we've had 2 really good plate races.

I see what you are saying, but at the same time, he built that reputation up through 4 years of futility and would have been out the sport if not for his dad's money. He has gotten better, and I kinda like him for sticking with it instead of taking his ball and going home (which is why I like Sam Hornish) when he easily could have, but it'll take more than just 2 months or so of solid racing to make people forget 4 years, "still learning" or not.

I wouldn't call the Coke Zero 400 really good, but it was certainly better than the 500.

Everyone forgets JWT lost weight and went out and won an arca race and is running good with RHR. Dave Blaney spun, and hes a badass on dirt.

I was just going to say this. But on the internet winning at a restrictor plate track takes no talent and is a complete gamble/lottery.

Key words there LOL...I sure as hell couldn't randomly decide to go jump in an ARCA car at Daytona(or anywhere for that matter) and even finish in the top 20!

Im not a big fan of Bloomer(Scott Bloomquist for you noobs), but im rooting for him and Dave on this one. Would be awesome to see one of the best Late Model drivers ever win. And needless to say, yes Im a diehard Dirt Track fan. Other then seeing one of my role models, Jimmy Weller III win, Bloomer would be awesome.

This is gonna be very, very fun to watch tomorrow. 205 laps of dirt track racing. Probably plenty of cautions, but oh well. I think it would be cool to see a ringer win but it would be cooler to see Wallace, Jr. or Quiroga win.

There's an individual qualifying session about 90mins before the first qualifying race.

Im so excited about this race! Been counting down to it for a while now. I think if this race is a success NASCAR should look into doing some Sprint Cup and Nationwide races on dirt. I think schedule diversity is a huge key in NASCAR's success in the future years. If they want to say they have the best racing league in the world then race them on every type of track. I just love the idea of road racing, super speedways, less 1.5 milers, short tracks and a dirt track on the Sprint Cup schedule.
