Discuss the 2013 STP 300 at Chicagoland race weekend here. This weekend marks one of the rare weekends in which the Nationwide Series takes the spotlight and runs their race on Sunday. Sam Hornish Jr. is on the pole for today's race, and will be looking to hold off fellow Nationwide competitors along with Cup driver Joey Logano for the win.

This break usually leads to only one maybe two cup drivers racing Nationwide because it's an important week for the cup drivers to relax before the race to the chase heats up.

That was fast. Joey Gase blows the motor as the green waves at Chicagoland. Embarrassing to think that your engine blows just as your car reaches the start/finish line on the 1st lap.

When he picked up the throttle in second it blew up, that sucks

Damn it. Those guys work so hard to even make it to the track. This will be a tough blow, especially since they had a great starting position.

Oil pump belt broke off, the engine kept running with little oil then it expired
