Think Larson is right where he wants to be. Freaking jr is terrible today.

Harvick got to the bottom. He even pulled back up onto the track when the caution came out.

You have to think though, that by the time the message is relayed for the caution to come out Harvick would have probably pulled to the bottom. I think it was the right call.

Gordon to the lead, and Jimmie looks like he is waking up with the sun going away.

Can we have one of those several debris cautions we had earlier? Please?

A caution would be wild! This racing for the cutoff is intense

How about that! Jeff Gordon!! Alright! Jimmie with 3rd, and Kahne makes it in! Hendrick Motorsports to the next round!

Jeff Gordon wins again!?!?! I knew he was too old to be racing. XD
I was hoping for Kurt or AJ to advance over Kasey but oh well. This new chase format does seem exciting!

That just seemed like a really boring race. Oh well, congrats to Jeff

Gordon won at Kansas, Indy, Michigan, and Dover back in 2001.

I watched more football than I did with this race. Congrats to Jeff, but everyone was essentially playing "puck protect" mode. I fault ESPN for overhyping the race because I was expecting some desperate teams to go off-strategy or do something they normally wouldn't do in any other circumstance, but they were too conservative.

Anyone who says the Chase format is exciting is playing right into NASCAR's hands. I would rather it be very boring and the same driver lap the field every race if he is gonna win a championship the right way. I am a firm believer that the best team (in any sport) should always be the champion. We have too much of an obsession in this country with being "clutch" or coming through "under pressure". Thats why we have playoffs in other sports and NASCAR is just latching on to this obsession. I would rather the best team at the end of the NFL season win the title, or at most just the best two teams face off in the Super Bowl. That's why I loved the BCS because it was always best two teams. Here in NASCAR either make it a season long points race, but with the new points system, or just make it whoever wins the most races.

The way I see it the race had long green runs that kept people from trying the off-strategy stuff. If there was a late race caution, we probably would have seen several different pit strategies.

Isn't it funny how the races that are typically regarded as exciting and the ones that are typically boring have kinda swapped places the past few years?

Yeah, the long periods of green flag racing didn't help matters, either.
