JEFF GORDON IS LUCKY MR. MONEYBAGS HENDRICKS PAID OFF NASCAR TO PUT A WHOLE IN HARVICK'S TIRE SO JEFFIE COULD WIN. HE CAN'T WIN WITHOUT CHEATING AND NEITHER CAN THAT CHEATER JIMMY. AND HE SUCKS THIS YEAR. HA! BRIAN FRANCE BROKE THE SHOCK AND WHEN THAT WASN'T ENOUGH HENDRICKS PULLED OUT HIS WALLET AND THREW MORE MONEY SO THEY TOOK OUT THE TIRE SO THAT LITTLE JEFFIE COULD WIN AGAIN. CHEATER MOTORSPORTS WINS ANOTHER ONE!!!!!

I always wondered if it would be fun to do that. It was. I get NASCAR comment sections now. lol

Anyway, a good win for Jeff and another strong run by Penske. Will be interested to see if they keep this momentum up. No major surprises so far, but there are 7 races left.

That race was almost as much of a yawn-fest as Richmond was. Felt like watching it wasted 3-4 hours of my life.
The #4 is fast, but they always seem to fall off, shoot themselves in the foot, have bad luck.

I watched more football than I did with this race. Congrats to Jeff, but everyone was essentially playing "puck protect" mode. I fault ESPN for overhyping the race because I was expecting some desperate teams to go off-strategy or do something they normally wouldn't do in any other circumstance, but they were too conservative.

Its not ESPN's fault most guys just raced for points/safety. NASCAR's playoff structure caused this. I am not an ESPN fan(except for Nicole) but they were trying to make something out of a dull and boring race.

Being at the track in person today, that was a very boring race...

After seeing this it makes me wonder what Dega will be like. Will they be careful or will it be madness due to the fact that you can pass several cars a lap therefore gain several points that will be critical to advancing. Not to mention a driver way back in the points could win and advance. Hope it will be a wild one.

It should be crazy because any of the drivers could win and advance, along with all the other drivers just trying to get a W.

Well by then two drivers won't have to really work at it because of them already being 'in' the next round. My guess is that it'll wind up being like last year's lack luster finish where they are all single file!

With that said, I really REALLY hope I'm wrong about that XD

Not if the same driver wins at Kansas and Charlotte. :D Even if 2 are locked in that could leave 10 drivers fighting for 6 positions. And since they are locked in there is nothing to lose by trying to get another win by any means. Add in the fact that all 43 drivers would love to get a win and that 35+ cars have a very legitimate chance to win should get everyone up on the wheel. :)

Isn't it funny how the races that are typically regarded as exciting and the ones that are typically boring have kinda swapped places the past few years?

Except Dover has been unentertaining since the COT came around.

Thrilled to see Gordon pull off #92. The last two times he's finished 26th at New Hampshire, he goes on to win the next race. Haha.

Congrats to Jeff.

I was expecting the race to be more insane. It was quite tame to Chicago and New Hampshire.

What an awesome win today for Gordon and the whole 24 team, especially after last week's unfortunate finish. I knew they'd be strong today, but I thought Jimmie would do his usual at this track and get the win.

8 away from 100.

At this pace I think Jeff will reach 100, it looked doubtful a few years back but this has renewed my spirits.

Kansas, since it's been a crashfest ever since the reconfiguration and repave...

Will make or break Chase hopes very quickly.

Based on the data from this year, I am going to claim Talladega to be a boring race, since the advance races were supposed to be exciting, but have taken an ugly turn, maybe if we hope for a boring race, we will have a thriller.

Can someone change that to Joey Logano?

Yeah, we won't know for sure until it happens, but it only makes sense that drivers are going to be protective all the way if they can.

I'm really only anticipating the Homestead race at this point.

Talladega will be a great race because all of the plate races this year have been fantastic, and you have 31 cars not in the Chase that will be trying to win. You've got probably 38 of the 43 cars who have the horsepower to keep up in the draft and only 12 (maybe 10 depending on if the next two races are won by Chase drivers) care about points.
