I don't think it a trend. Its because by like 2014 or 15 the EPA is mandating a huge mpg jump. Its not a few miles. Its some thing like 5 plus. So the car company's are trying to make there cars more stream line.

I was talking about the headlight shapes :p

Dan I know. Like I said i do not think its a trend. I just saw that buy 2016 that all cars need to get almost 40mpgs. Right now it is at 33. You have to change how the air moves over the front of the car. Other wise they wont get the 40mpgs. Plus it is a lot easier to make a car look good with angle or square headlights then bug eye ones. I know this I have a o4 neon. It looks like a god damn bug from the front. The only part that saves it. Is the inter cooler that peaks out from the grill.

I will always be a bow-tie man. And this car in my opinion backs me up. Awesome looking front end. I know a person who has and older Impala('05 I believe) and it is completed different. Looks great, I don't need butt warmers, or 25 outlets. Maybe cup-holders tho. But, the only thing I would change is the rear end. Lower it a bit. It gets a big A+ lest just hope the government won't get their little hands in this slick looking sedan.

What you don't need butt warmers? I don't also. But there are times were I have driven a leather car in the winter. I am talking below 20 out side with three ft of snow on the ground. That is the only time were I like the. Some cars now even have the heated steering wheel. To me that is a joke. Whats next heated pedals?

I don't think this is a bad car. A few family member own older ones. The back seat is roomy and that's all I like about them. I don't hate GM. I am just not a family car person.

Never heard of the steering wheel warmer. That seems a bit silly to me. The seat warmers would be nice- but not entirely a necessity for a guy like me. The only thing I wish my car had was side mirror defrosters.

Rather boring, but hey, at least it doesn't have that horrendous type of split grill Chevy has been putting on everything.

People around the web keep saying this car looks like a Camaro but I don't see it at all.

Well your images there kinda tell the story. The angle of the nose and center line are identical. These are big styling cues that link the identity of the two cars.

Ok david were do you live? I live in in northern WI and never had a need for mirror defrosters. They do have them though. I have seen them on eruo imports and a lot of American cars and trucks.

Washington. It does get cold enough to get a good thick layer of frost over every thing at least once a year in winter. I can scrape/defrost my windows but the side mirrors I'm stuck without until they thaw. I made a good habit of using those

got you. I don't know if you can get the stuff made by prestone. But it should be in there web site. It prevents ice and frost building up on glass. It really dose work. If they are frosted over which happens a few times a year. I just take my hand to it and the heat takes care of it.

I can tell you though I never use my side view mirrors unless I am towing some thing with a truck or racing. That is how I learned to drive. I was taught not to count on your mirrors so I don't use any of them.

Slapped together a quick template as a "what-if" Chevy was sticking with the Impala in NASCAR for 2013.

I like it. Simple, not overly complicated, and could work if NASCAR would still be using it. And for the record, the Camaro and 2014 Impala DO NOT look anyting like each other. even with the slope of the car and the slightly pointed front end, that's where the similarity stops.
