Here's the 2015 NASCAR K&N Pro Series Chevrolet SS. No shots of the Fusion and Camry yet.
Apparently this body is optional for the 2015 and 2016 season. Beyond 2017, it will be mandatory. Also, ARCA will use this body as an optional one for short tracks.

As a personal opinion, I'm a little too disappointed with NASCAR for ripping off the traditional cars also called the Gen4 cars. I think they should take more care of the Nationwide/Xfinity cars than the home tracks series.

R.I.P. Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS/Impala SS/Impala: 2006-2014 (2016 probably)

Sure i liked the old cars too, But things will change.
Quite honestly i was wondering if the K&N Cars were gonna get an update. Guess that's been answered lol.

I do like the 2015 car, But JESUS CHRIST that splitter is HUGE.

I like the new car, it brings it on level with the big 3 NASCAR series. Can't wait to work on a 2015 carset lol

The 1992-2007 cars were the best looking cars, not the short track ones but the superspeedway ones with the flatter air dam

So it's pretty much the Gen6 with a big-ass splitter, right?

Guys, that's not a splitter. That's what the Cup cars used on the front and as sideskirts in the '00. It's really hard to see, but that's what it is.

Yeah that's not a splitter on the front. They put a huge flat valence on the front. It's not pretty however, they should just take off the splitter and leave it at that

I like the change. It's still the same chassis we see, just an updated body.

Did someone just take their favorite parts of Gen4-Gen6 & the Nationwide COT and just randomly pin them onto a race car body?? That front cowl looks like it belongs on an iron horse locomotive...

Everything changes/evolves at least at some point. ARCA was looking pretty bad now with the Gen 4 cars in terms of smaller teams and the hand me down cars they were running.

Hopefully this won't cost too much.

While I'd rather see the current model stay, I think we all knew this was coming. Bottom line is that the Gen6 and these Gen6 lookalikes are safer, and NASCAR is obviously very safety-oriented.

The weirdest thing is that this has both a valance AND a splitter. Obviously on the Cup cars the COT replaced the valence with a splitter and the Gen 6 continued that, but this uses BOTH and it really looks odd

Disappointed to see the downforce body being replaced. I think it was the best body thats come through stock car racing. Not to mention, the perfect body for a developmental series like K&N/ARCA. It was only a matter of time, though. At some point, the next generation of safety enhancements need to be brought in to these other series, and although they could've been built into the downforce cars, it wouldn't be as practical since the manufacturers want all the brand identity they can get.

There's no splitter. Its just a valance. Whats above the valance isn't a splitter, its just part of the nose mold that resembles the shape of a splitter.

Agreed. I should not be seeing monte carlo ss decal packs and ford fusions that are 2 generations old. Those looks are 10 years old and it's time to update it.

The new body will do a lot to generate interest in these under exposed series.
