Another year, and I STILL hate this scheme. This belonged to Kurt Busch, give Logano something new and fresh.

I don't mind if schemes don't change for 2-3 gears but 5 years is too long

Earnhardt's Goodwrench scheme ('88-'01) would like to have a word with you, as well as Gordon's first 2 Dupont schemes ('93-'00, '01-'08). :p

Though I agree it is time for a change to this scheme. Even just the red on the roof like they're running in the chase.

Still looks good to me. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Let the designers have fun with the alternates.

The #22 car has had so much instability (4 drivers in three years) that they probably want to let the scheme and sponsor actually attatch to a driver for a few years before try go making changes.

Eeh. It didn't really work so well with the CarQuest/Kellogg's #5 (Busch-Mears-Martin), but nor did I like what they did with Logano's last ride that they changed up every year with some undrawable mishmash of orange, white, and black.

Now, granted, some paint schemes are classics. The #20 from 2002-2004 and 2005-2007 were stable, identifiable, and looked good. The #8 from 2000-2007, too, and the #9 from 2001-2006.

But this one, I didn't really like it when they introduced it for Kurt and I still don't really like it. Yes, it stands out with the mustard yellow versus the Dollar General and Menards yellows, but there's something about that half-attempted red splash/flame/comb/spike/monstrosity that I just don't like. The #29 from 2007, that was a good combo of red and yellow. But this, as was said, even a red roof like with the Chase would be a welcome adjustment. We know Logano and Shell are going to be on this thing at least for the next three years, but they don't have to force the permanence of this on us!

The current scheme was designed by Kurt Busch (actually not sure if he himself designed it) but it is a throwback to his Legend car scheme.

The driver of the car was in such limbo during '11 and '12. I don't see why they would change it at any point in that time span. Now that Logano has well established his place at Penske and is having success with it why change it? Some teams and even sponsors can be very superstitious too. They may have kept it just because of this years success. Who knows. Either way it's making a return.

Can someone change that to Joey Logano?

I don't mind the scheme. I think it's one of the most bold paint jobs to come along in recent years. It stands out and screams the sponsors colors and name.

And the numbers couldn't be a different color... why again? It's a solid scheme, but the numbers could be a different color.

I think I'm in the minority when I say I like the scheme. With all the swaps that happened in this team it's best to stay with a scheme for a while with a consistent driver, then change after 3 or 4 years.

The scheme changes slightly every year. I really like the design, and wish all of his sponsors use it.
