You'd think NBC Sports would have thrown the first and last 3hrs on NBC instead of Figure Skating.

First safety car of the race. Alonso has stepped in the #10, I'm really excited to see how he does.

I hated to see him having problems getting going. I know the race is far from over. Hopefully they can overcome that.
He's doing pretty well so far, he's the fastest GTLM car. That's pretty incredible.

Alonso is on a flier, from 5th or so to the lead since the last restart about a half hour ago. Had a fabulous battle with Castroneves.

Alonso has made a six-second gap to 2nd place. He's setting a blinding pace.

Edit: 22 second gap before this full course caution. Insane driving by Alonso.

Problems for both Mazdas. The #77 had flames coming out the back (again) and the #55 had some electrical problems. This team cannot catch a break.
