Lap 48: Wichelman's Ford out front with the two DK trucks of Dakota Caudill and Ben Thomas running 2-3. Ben Thomas, the rookie, won his Daytona Beach Duel yesterday and is now looking strong enough to potentially score his first official victory in his first career start.
Lap 55: Root gets to the lead as Ehresman gets freight trained, those two DK trucks of Thomas and Caudill are right behind him. If I had to make a prediction I think the winner could be one of those two.
Kurz interview: "what a horrible start of the season. Starting right in the middle of the pack and everyone around us seems to plays boule instead of driving race cars. I got wrecked three times in these couple of laps! When do these *peep* start to realize that you can't win a race on lap 1! We will see us next time."
Robert Kurz is really pissed after he crashed out on lap 42.
Lap 61: We have finally made it to the Timmy Hill Ten to Go presented by The Color Blue. Single file has taken over with Root out front, the lapped car of Farrell, Wichelman, Caudill, Thomas, and Ehresman. the remaining trucks have all broken up into two truck packs behind.
Lap 67: Four to go, no one pit that time by, Ehresman got caught up top and fell back to fourth behind Caudill and Wichelman. Thomas is about to go a lap down coming off pit road. Fiorentini and Jennings do pit.
