I gotta say, its very refreshing to see someone actually acknowledge that. It seems like the majority of people that "paint" cars now-a-days arent really doing all that much painting. Its mostly grab a base from one site, numbers from another site, and logos from a different site, and then "check out the car I painted!".

By the way, nice job on that car, I like it.

Even though I like him, I personally think that he felt it was time to throw in the hat. You can tell by his 2000 and post-2000 statistics that he was never the same after his son passed away, and it was probably very frustrating to him to be driving in the positions he was regularly in. Being dropped off his own father's team was most likely the last straw.
