We lost the Man In Black, The Intimadator, The Heart & Soul Of Nascar.....Dale Earnhardt. The sport has never been the same!

The sport is never the same after any driver has been tragically lost. The important thing is that we will never forget them, nor the last time we saw them, and we learn the lessons taught by their tragedy. Hopefully, in the future, we will not have to endure the loss of anyone again.

No matter what NASCAR does about safety .... I can't believe that noone is ever going to get killed again. Some of these wrecks lately have been pretty scary. Remember Michael McDowell's last year ?

McDowell's crash was a case of everything going right in a crash. The SAFER Barrier did its job in bearing the brunt of the collision. The COT did its job in basically exploding, taking that much more of the energy with it. Finally, McDowell's "cage" remained fully intact throughout the entire event, with McDowell firmly restrained inside it.

Other drivers have had collisions whose nature didn't allow for that to happen. :frown:

Strange, that race is the first time I've seen the Daytona 500 flag-to-flag. I stood home from church that day, a friend of mine did as well, under his father's suggestion. And then it happened. My bud went to church ever since.

Another thing, Teresa Earnhardt is still a money-greedy golddigger and only uses Dale's name for her own profit. Hence, the special schemes, the product placements, the movies (although Dale is a good documentary movie, I heard), and what-have-you.

I know we lost a legend in this sport, but she really needs to stop picking on the dead horse already. Just a simple tribute on the fateful day is enough.

Yeah it's all because she's a money-greedy golddigger. It has nothing to do with trying to keep the company her husband started alive and healthy at all I'm sure. :spinny:
