Hi.....
lovely community developed here.....

I am a 3rd generation commercial artist with a strong background in racing design.....

BUT as of this very moment I am in a BIND!:arghh:

I just took on a contract last Tuesday evening for a truck series paint scheme, BUT THEN as clients tend to do, they text me at 5:15 tonight (after a 48 hour week mind you) that the truck has to be put into the wind tunnel immediately, so we need a design done tonight because the truck must be painted prior to going into the wind tunnel. The truck is supposed to be slapped into a paint booth at maybe noon Saturday to get the "broad strokes" of the graphics painted in.

So the painter has snagged some extra paint (Go daddy Green and black) and is ready to rock.

I on the other hand need some freakin help because I am prepared for ARCA designing, Rolex series and local track but that 3D viewer does not have a 2010 Ford NCWTS Truck template, leaving me a square one again.

SO PLEASE SOMEBODY HAVE MERCY ON ME and tell me where I can find an easy viewer that I can use for getting a 3D rendered proof as I do not have a 3D program on this machine, only the Adobe Suite.

I can see the templates at the download area but I do not find the place to view the templated designs.

I have to go to a dinner party with the old lady in about an hour, but am planning on jamming on this all night if I have to. Any help would be a life saver. :notworthy:

Definitely thanks for the help.....

Now I am having an issue with the car viewer to get my proofs for this rush project .It appears i do not have access yet (understandable) to the Help Section under 3DS, NR2003.

I can get the proper for truck mesh loaded, but every time I attempt to map the design by Load Texture, it changes the truck to all white.

File is 14.22x14.22 @72dpi, JPEG

i am running a 64bit Windows 7 system, so wasnt sure if there might be some netframework or something odd that I needed to install for the viewer to work.

I am really under the gun for my project timeline right now........... like missing it
ANY HELP PLEASE!!

No i would say it has to do with how you are loading the texture into the viewer

Try renaming the picture of the truck to card.bmp.

tried that and nothing......

still turns the whole mesh white. Turning on the Use Lighting then changes the whole mesh to all black.........

SOOO frustrating!:arghh: I am so close to finishing. I just need to get to a final presentation like this.....

I am PMing Alan Harklerroad for maybe getting some quick renders i can finalize this with.

My contact just texted me "Where is it? the painter is ready to start in!"

install team viewer 6 please so i can help you via remote desktop. will make this go faster rather then trading posts back and forth trying to guess the problem.

Best I can do for you. I dont quite have the polish to it that you example does but it will suffice right.

Alan......

if we ever met, I would be hard pressed to resist kissing you.......

I literally just restarted my machine and had a phone call with the Roush painter and my team contact. They loved the design for the Daytona race on the 18th, but need/want a top view......

SO THIS IF PERFECT SIR!

Thanks a Million!!

I might have to lean on you or somebody else hear for another render for a Darlington paint scheme as well. I think my 64bit OS is screwing with the viewer and honestly, using 3DS makes such a better presentation then using just a viewer and PS.

i hate to have to ask this but, Alan, could I get a render like the one you just did with all of the views but with just the actual Paint?

the painter is beggin my for it to make his job a little easier.......

* editted to a file without the wireframe merged to design

IF YOU DO THIS one last favor, I pledge to make a simracingdesign.com logo sticker and I will get a couple nice shots of it on the truck, before the race, in the pits and post them up. (of course they wont be able to run with it on there but i'm 90% sure I can get the shots just for fun)

THANK YOU TO ALL OF THE SRD MEMEBRS and admin that have taken pity on this unprepared designer and lent me a much needed hand. Thanks for being so cool guys.
