A sports section?

I was thinking that maybe we could have a thread for non-motorsports... Like NFL,NBA,MLB,NHL... Pretty much a section for sports that have to do with a ball...

Why have a bunch of random stuff all thrown together in one messy category? A section devoted to "Other Sports" would keep sports separate from other discussions. We're here because we're a community who enjoys automotive related things. That doesn't exclude other interests.

This is a good idea. This way, all our non-racing talk isn't cluttering the General Forum.

It may be, but is racing our ONLY sport interest? I for one am a huge Football and Rugby fan. If I wanna talk about the sport with people I'm already familiar with, why not? I would rather not go to a new forum and have to start talking with new people I don't know.

Well, how about we do this: Just make a separate sub-section and move the already made forums to that sub forum. Brandon suggested this and I have to say that would clean up the already cluttered General Discussion Forum.

I started an NBA Finals thread when the finals were going on an it seemed only me and 2 or 3 other users were interested and it only lasted 2 pages. Also the NFL Discussion thread is already 4 days old from the last post, and the NHL thread isn't even on the first page of the General Community Discussion Forum. And we don't even have a MLB thread that I recall...

Yeah, a SUB section would work perfectly.

I mean, we could give it a trial. Give it like 2 or 3 months and if it isn't active enough, you take all the forums out and move em back to the General Discussion.

I don't see why you're focused on SRD being for auto racing. This place would be great with additions interests such as computers and other sports.
