ai glitch or what?

ok so i am getting ready to race at toledo (night) and i go to practice and i notice the other cars going SUPER FAST!!! my fps are only 17 but the other cars are so so fast, also when i went to drive my car was so fast i could not control it? i re started my game and same thing, i went to different tracks and it was so crazy. i re-installed nr2k3 and same SAME THING. i had adjusted some bios settings on my motherboard (DOT, some overclocking program) i un did all my bios settings and started the game again (with the patch) and all was good but i only played it once.

amd athlon 64 3000+
2.0 ghz
1.5 mb of ram
windows xp pro
visiontek radeon hp2400 512mb video card
450 psu

go to ur control panel of the computer

then go to power options

and select "always on" in power schemes. tht worked for me but idk about u

yeah that helped, thank you. it was my cool and quiet on my motherboard. i had to disable it. if i knew thats all it was i would not have re installed this damn game. you know i thought it would be easy to run this game on my computer. hell no!! are there settings out there for texture size using a 512mb card!!??

search "NR Graphics Tweak" it has a few things to help graphics get better and it has somethin about texture size

update--- i was messing with my virtual setting memory and also used that formula for video card texture size (actually my girlfriend did) and came up with a number for a 512mb card. reading all these posts on this forum and others frame rate is a never ending quest. i am seriously thinking of selling my 512 card and going to a 256 card, like an older card cause this new/old sh** ain't working. for a few secs last night i was gonna just go back to n3 and be happy but nah. i do have a 128mb geforce fx5200 sitting here....i have a baby coming so i will not have time to take out my 512 and put in the 128 and play around with fps and config...this here is enough. thanks to all that helped me.....calvin
