According to multiple sources, Alex Bowman and Ryan Truex will drive for BK Racing full-time this season. Bowman will drive the #23 Dr. Pepper Toyota and Truex will drive the #83 Toyota.
Story: BK Racing ready to run with Alex Bowman, Ryan Truex | FOX Sports on MSN

Congratulations to both of them. Hopefully they can help this team get better in the future. This year's rookie class is the best one in a very long time.

No, the 93 is changing to 23 to go along with Dr. Pepper's 23 flavors. So Kvapil has been given the boot apparently.

I dont see this helping their careers along here. I hope Ryan Truex especially can get in some good equipment down the road.

Anyone really not see that coming though? lol

Kidding aside, I'm just hoping for a cool paint scheme now for the Dr. Pepper car....

That's unfortunate, both had really promising careers.

Just glad to see they kicked Kvapil to the curb.

Well, good to see both of them getting a shot in the Cup Series in 2014 (although not in the best equipment). I am personally glad that BK Racing finally got rid of Kvapil, considering that they should have done so last season in the aftermath of his domestic violence troubles.

Relly said it well and that's how I feel too, each only had about a year or so of Nationwide experience maybe even less. That's not nearly enough to move up to cup full-time already.

Doesn't Truex have a development deal with RPM? I'm curious as to why he would go full-time when I don't believe he's quite ready. I don't think Bowman is either, but RAB wasn't the best equipment and he did show speed so maybe he'll surprise us. At the very least, both of these guys are getting their names out there for sponsors to see, which is never a bad thing. I wish both drivers the best of luck, and I'll be pulling for this team to have much more success than last year.

And wow, after all the complaining we did during the thrilling ROTY battles including Kevin Conway, Andy Lally, and Stephen Leicht, we have one hell of a class this year. Gonna be an interesting side story to follow, although I think Dillon and Larson will run away with it.

Just because Truex & Bowman are signed with BK Racing this year does not mean they signed 20-year contracts. Experience. Experience. Experience.

Who was the owner of the # 96 Chevelle (?) that Earnhardt got his first ride with? Does anyone remember the guys name without looking it up?

I think this is a great move for their careers. Get experience racing in Cup with teams that have lower expectations. The learning curve for driver & team are close...unlike Truex jumping in a RPM or RFR car at the moment.

I am not all that surprised that they kicked Travis out, but Alex and Ryan just aren't ready. But I guess they need to do what they have to to be ready for 2014.

They're not ready to run up front every week, but BK Racing isn't going to do that anyway. At least this gives both seat time in a Cup ride that they would not have otherwise had. Ryan Truex started what, 4 Nascar races all last year? Better to race, than to not race.

Its an interesting move for a developing team. Having seasoned Cup drivers didn't really advance them much, so throwing Cup rookies in the rides seems crazy. They needed to change things up but this is a bold move. Best of luck to them all.

This just seems iffy for everyone involved. I hope both drivers the best, but neither are ready for the Cup series and BK probably isn't going to get much out of this unless one or both of them comes out and takes everyone by surprise.

"Here we have an exciting battle between Alex Bowman and Ryan Truex, and they are both going for the title here at Homestead!"

Calling it now.

It does add even more to the pretty good Rookie of the year battle.

Hmmm...nothing different than Swan Motorsports throwing Cole Whitt and Parker Kligerman in their cars with very limited Cup experience.

^ True, yet Whitt has more experience than any of these 3....I think.
