I just realized something... Richard Petty must love drivers who's names start with an A. Andretti, Allmendinger, Ambrose, and now Almirola.

Similarly, Petty has had a LOT of drivers that have a strong "E" sound somewhere in their names:

-Tiny Lund
-Bobby Labonte
-Terry Labonte
-Kenny Wallace
-Chad McCumbee
-Lee Petty
-Richard Petty
-Maurice Petty
-Kyle Petty
-Adam Petty
-Pete Hamilton
-Bobby Hamilton
-Jerry Nadeau
-John Andretti
-Christian Fittipaldi
-Kasey Kahne
-Elliott Sadler
-Steve Grissom
-Jeff Green
-Wally Dallenbach Junior
-LeeRoy Yarbrough
-Bobby Johns
-Darrell Dieringer
-G. C. Spencer
-Dan Gurney
-Jim Linke
-Buddy Baker
-Jimmie LeWallen
-Bobby Myers
-Jim Reed
-Joe Weatherly
-Bunkie Blackburn
-Speedy Thompson
-Jimmie Massey
-Jimmy Hensely
-Johnny Dodson
-A.J. Allmendinger
-Shane Hmiel
-Reed Sorenson

Basically, every driver from PE or RPM except for Buckshot Jones, Paul Menard, Marcos Ambrose, Aric Almirola, Jim Paschal, Bob Welborn, Bill Lutz, Rick Wilson, Boris Said, Ralph Earnhardt, Marvin Panch, Dick Brooks, Paul Lewis, Hershel McGriff, Ted Musgrave, Greg Biffle, Arl Malone, Buck Baker and Morgan Shepherd.

You said Elliot Sadler twice, and you forgot Shane Hmiel and Bobby Myers.

Thanks for pointing out Elliott Sadler, and I did forget Shane Hmiel, Jimmie LeWallen, Bobby Myers, Jim Reed, Joe Weatherly, Arl Malone, Bunkie Blackburn, Speedy Thompson, Jimmie Massey, Paul Lewis, Hershel McGriff, Jimmy Hensely, Greg Biffle and Ted Musgrave.

Adam Petty is on there, though.

The only thing that I find weird about the whole situation is the sponsor. Nobody knew that Best Buy was leaving, yet within a week in a down economy they get a worldwide food conglomerate to step in. I still can't believe that a media whore like Red Bull hasn't put it's name on someone's car even for a partial season.

I think RedBull will put all focus into progressing Cole Whitt. He's their "Golden Boy of NASCAR" right now.

I'm sure that RPM were well aware of the possibility (or even knew) of Best Buy leaving.

I don't think that Red Bull is sticking with Cole Whitt in any major sponsorship role other than a personal sponsorship (promotion, etc.) I tweeted Jim Utter asking the same question and he replied telling me that Red Bull is completely pulling out-- even in a sponsorship role.
